In Recent News:
local legend, Alexander Eddy, has packed his bags and moved to Calgary.
"I didn't say goodbye or tell anyone really, whoever was at the park that morning...".
Instead of facing another 'hoboish' summer at the Dub, he's over there somewhere doing something; and here at Barbs, we wish him all the best. See you soon homie.

This post is for one of the greatest people I have ever met:
over the course of my life, moreso the last three or four years, this one man,, well he's done a hell of alot to influence everything in my life really. I have had the privilege of knowing and sharing fond memories with one of my best friends, Matthew Metzner. For those of you who know Matt, (who am I kidding, no one knows this website even exists,, but if for some reason you happened to know who I was talking about), your mouth would begin to smile at either corner, and you would know that every word I have just said is from the heart. Matt, well, dude, your a legend,, hands down. the funniest attitude, craziest lifestyle, all the while with hair blowing wild in a 4xl tee (more so 2 years ago), consistently, and effortlessly flying through the air landing tricks with precision, and that's not something you see too often. and before knowing Matt, something I had never even witnessed in Person. The first day I ever saw Matt, he did a fakie fucking helicopter spin or some wild shit up a crazy ass double bump shooter, 'lang-park whirley bird rider'. I couldn't even Ollie up the curb in the park at that time, and some local kid tells me he's going on tour with monkey skateboards. I dunno, seem to have taken off on a little ramble here, but you get where I'm coming from. Well, this post is really just to give gratitude, for being an amazing friend, and brotherin.
Without Matt, I wouldn't skate as fast, laugh as hard when I bail, drink beer in inflatable boats in the middle of oceans, shit on top of mountainous rocks and then plummet off them to the waters below, got skitched into a forest of procley bushes, have a locksmith bill (really more my fault), gpt to camp out and chill with black bears, Geoff Rowley would have never seen my penis (long story), I wouldn't of had my first sponsor, or sang a beautiful choir of this classic on a sick Canada Day Roadtirp (^photo above inspired by,)
So Matt, keep doing what your doing buddy, because everyone I know, that knows you, feels the same way.
Congrats on the engagement too, I was stoked to be one of the first to know. And I know your flying planes know too, so I'll have to stop by and get high. Thanks for the couches to sleep on and all the pushes we've shared. your buddy, miller.
